Created in Brazil, Foot Table is an innovative sport that combines technical football skills with the fast-paced dynamics of an enclosed arena. The concept originated from a recreational game known in Brazil as mesinha, traditionally played on a table where players keep the ball in play using their feet and other parts of the body, with the exception of the hands and arms. While the game demanded coordination, creativity, and technical ability, it was originally limited to small, informal settings.

As players experimented with new ways to play, they moved the game into a squash court, allowing the surrounding walls to become part of the action. This simple adaptation dramatically changed the experience. Continuous rebounds increased the pace, extended rallies, and introduced new tactical possibilities, transforming a casual pastime into a dynamic and competitive sport.

Recognizing the potential of this new format, the creators developed the concept into a complete sporting discipline. They established the official rules, designed a purpose-built arena, created standardized equipment, and developed an organized competition system capable of supporting athletes, clubs, and international events.

In 2020, Foot Table was officially launched as a new sport.

Today, Foot Table combines elements of football technique, footvolley precision, the tactical use of walls found in squash and padel, and the fast exchanges typical of table tennis, resulting in a sport with its own distinct identity.
